Enjoy Box Elder

Well, i see a lot of turning on line,
and sometimes i like to try to do by myself,
this is the case:

and some detail of this amazing Wood..

Then i enjoy with imagination and feeling,

and this one,
which i feel i could do something much better with this particular wood...

the Box suspended is about 30 cm high, 20 cm diameter of the box..
i used laburnum (maggiociondolo) for the finial and the base(i dont' know how to call it)
i heard it could be better the top,
quite right,
vein should run same body and top,
and finial is too short...
keep care all the advice,
i wold do one more shortly, becoiuse i enjoy do this box, and it's quite intresting on the view..
but sure i have to do much more before catch the right one...
